Calyptech releases the new Ruggedised Wireless Gateway for 3G Networks

MELBOURNE, Victoria – Calyptech today announced the release of their Ruggised Wireless Gateway - RWG-200.

The RWG-200 connects customers that require voice/data services in hostile environments to the 3G wireless network infrastructure. The RWG-200 is the ideal solution for outdoor, vehicular, desert, polar and marine environments where a robust and weatherproof access gateway element is required to connect to the 3G wireless network.

Offering Telephone, Fax, Broadband LAN and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) interfaces, the RWG-200 becomes a standalone gateway to the services offered by wireless 3G network infrastructures.

The RWG-200 also offers GPS feature; giving added flexibility for mobile installations and vehicle tracking.

Multiple RWG-200 units may be managed using a central server (TR-069 WAN Management Protocol), offering automatic software upgrade, with alarm and monitoring facilities.

The RWG 200 design builds on the success of the Integrated Fixed Wireless Terminal technology, already operating in desert conditions within external enclosures, and delivers a stand alone encapsulated wireless gateway solution."

The RWG 200 can be mounted on poles, walls and may be equipped with ruggedised battery packs to provide a standalone access point for Broadband data, and Telephone/Fax services.
