Calyptech Awarded $1.3M Research and Development Grant
MELBOURNE, Victoria, February 21, 2005 - Calyptech are pleased to announce they have been awarded a Commonwealth of Australia Industry Research and Development Start Grant to develop Calyptech's Voice Quality Analysis and Network Diagnostics Tool known as Beethoven.
The R&D Grant worth AU$1.3M is for the development of the 2nd Generation Beethoven Voice Quality Analysis product. This development will ensure that the next generation of Beethoven product addresses the emerging technologies of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and wireless communications systems in Calyptech's key operating market segments of Telecommunications Operators and Telecommunications System Integrators. Calyptech expects commercial benefits will be realised as early as FY2005 with the roll out of new products and targeted customised solutions.
John Maher, CEO of Calyptech said: "Calyptech has secured this R&D grant from the Australian government to ensure that our product meets the future requirements of the Telecommunications Voice markets. This grant provides funding over the next three years to ensure that our product continues to meet the rapidly changing requirements of these markets."
