Calyptech Introduces The VQEST 300 Voice Quality Enhancement System

MELBOURNE, Victoria. -- Calyptech, a leading Australian provider of innovative technological solutions, is preparing to launch the latest advancement in telecommunications equipment, the VQEST 300 Voice Quality Enhancement System.

The VQEST 300 is Calyptech's voice quality solution for telecommunications service providers. The product delivers superior voice quality enhancements in even the most challenging carrier networks, including Wireless Local Loop, Circuit Switched PSTN, GSM/CDMA and packet switched (VoIP, ATM) networks.

"The development of a voice quality enhancement product was a natural progression for Calyptech who have significant expertise and proven, international experience in developing outsourced technological solutions in the telecommunications field" added John Maher, Calyptech's CEO. "Calyptech saw an opportunity to apply their strong knowledge of telecommunications testing and assessment technologies to produce a voice quality solution that we customise for optimal performance in our individual client's networks."

"The sophisticated signal processing technology within the VQEST product enhances voice quality in a broad range of applications and network configurations" stated Dr. Shane Tonissen, Calyptech's Chief Technology Officer. "As networks become more complex the echo cancellation and noise reduction challenges increase. Often on mobile networks inferior voice quality mistakenly attributed to poor reception could be significantly improved with the more capable voice enhancement solution offered by Calyptech."

Fully ITU-T G.168 (2002) compliant, the product is capable of industry-leading, bi-directional voice quality enhancement in up to 320 voice channels. Some specific features of the VQEST include: second-to-none cancellation of hybrid and acoustic echo in numerous deployment configurations, consistent performance independent of speaker and background characteristics, and exceptional double talk performance.

Calyptech will be officially launching the VQEST 300 at CeBIT Australia 2004, to be held in Sydney in May.
