Calyptech announces 16,384 Channel Non-Blocking TDM Switch IP Cores

Calyptech announce the introduction of their new TDM Switch Core targeted at telecommunications applications. The cores are designed for use in small- to medium-sized multi-service access platforms, IP PBXs, integrated access devices, small routers, data/voice multiplexers, digital loop carriers, and computer-telephony integration systems.

The Core is available in two versions, a unidirectional and bidirectional switch.  Each version is capable of performing non-blocking switching on 32 input streams, at a maximum rate of 32.768Mb/s per stream, providing a total of 16,384 channels. Each stream consists of 512 channels (timeslots). The target technology is either Xilinx Virtex-II or Virtex-II Pro. The TDM switch offers symmetrical data mapping in the bidirectional mode.
