Calyptech announces 40Gb/s CRC-32 IP Core
World leading semiconductor and telecommunications equipment design services company Calyptech of Melbourne, Australia announce the introduction of their new CRC-32 IP Core targeted at 40Gb/s rates.
The Core uses the CRC-32 polynomial suitable for applications such as AAL5 and POS Packet error detection, processing data on a 256-bit wide bus. The Core accepts data packets with Packet Start and Packet Stop aligned to any octet boundary for maximum flexibility. The Core contains an extremely efficient parallel implementation of the required CRC-32 functionality, resulting in clock speeds in excess of 180MHz. Other cores currently under development targeting the high speed telecommunications product line include complete section and line overhead transmitters and receivers as well as B1/B2 byte generators and checkers. Future developments will include an SPI-4.2 to SPI-5 Bridge Core, a pointer generator and processor along with complete path overhead processing cores.
