Telstra Incorporated chooses Calyptech's Consumer Wireless Gateway (CWG-100) for their rural customer base in Australia

MELBOURNE, Victoria – Calyptech today announced that Telstra Incorporated has chosen Calyptech's CWG-100, for deployment to their Rural and Regional customer base in Australia.

After an extended evaluation process including customer field trials, Telstra Incorporated and Calyptech Pty. Ltd. have signed a multi-million dollar deal for the supply of Calyptech's CWG-100 wireless gateway.

The CWG-100 connects customers that require voice/data services to the 3G wireless network infrastructure. Offering USB, Telephone, Fax, Broadband LAN and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) interfaces, it becomes a home wireless gateway to the services offered by the 3G network infrastructures.

Telstra intends to manage their new fleet of CWG-100 wireless gateway units using a central server via the TR-069 WAN Management Protocol, offering automatic software upgrade, with alarm and monitoring facilities.

The CWG-100 builds on our Integrated Fixed Wireless Terminal technology, which was also deployed by Telstra in their hard to reach rural customer base.
